Our Vision, Our Goals
Paella & Tapas Traditional Catering was created with the idea of introducing traditional Spanish food to Perth residents. Paella & Tapas Traditional Catering will donate 5% of our profits to charitable organizations.
We are passionate about contributing to charitable organizations. It is our belief that small contributions can make a difference in this world, and what is more important, hopefully setting an example for other businesses to follow.
The World Health Organization estimates that one-third of the world is well-fed, one-third is under-fed one-third is starving.
Our main charitable organization is Nakuru hope. Nakuru Hope's Gabriel Learning Centre and Orphanage was initiated to help make a difference to those who are forgotten in the slums of Kaptembwa, Nakuru, Kenya. Please visit www.nakuruhope.org
Nakuru hope began in 2008 with a rented little house on the edge of Kapembwa, a slum area of over 200,000 persons in the most destitute conditions. The purpose of the school or learning centres, was to teach women to sew, become dressmakers, so that they would have a tool of trade to be able to afford their own children to go to school. With a small garage at the side of the house, we began our first pre primary school, beginning with 20 children. These children like the women who came to learn were illiterate, with no hope of ever having an education.
In 2013 after countless fundraising activities and donations received, combined with a lot of commitment and hard work we built our own school on our own land. Alongside our school, an orphanage and volunteer home stay. We could have built with mud bricks and galvanised iron roof, but we decided to build a centre that will remain for years to come, to give our children who live without hope, a centre with strong foundations with a presence of strength, stability and peace. A refuge, a centre of learning, a home away from home.
Construction of our centre completed January 8, 2014. Doors and windows are painted in bright welcoming colours and our orphanage opened July 2014, giving 50 children a safe refuge and a family environment.
A volunteer home stay opened in February 2014, where we welcome those who also wish to make a difference, from all over the world.
2017 we opened our second Home for boys which is located on our Farm, just 20 mins from School and a half way home for our older boys of 18 who have not completed University.
In 2019 we finished all our classrooms and now teach up to Grade 8 and some of our children who started their education with us are now going to High School and University.

Sometime in your life, hope that you might see one starved man, the look on his face when the bread finally arrives. Hope that you might have baked it or bought or even kneaded it yourself. For that look on his face, for your meeting his eyes across a piece of bread, you might be willing to lose a lot, or suffer a lot, or die a little, even.
– Daniel Berrigan
Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope... and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
– Robert F. Kennedy
What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.
– Albert Pike
